Wine Enthusiast - 94 points - Cellar Selection - this does not give up its fruit as some dry Rieslings do; there's a pleasing mix of lemon, grapefruit, pineapple and apricot, full in the mid-palate, then turning more astringent and cheerily tart in the finish.  This is a very young, compact, and still tight as a drum; it could be cellared for up to a decade.

A light-bodied dry wine with hints of Honeycrisp apple and Valencia orange; serve with fresh fruit, citrus-driven dishes, or other brightly flavored fare.

Wine Spectator - 94 points Ripe and jazzy, with a vivid range of blackberry, pepper, nutmeg and cream flavors that power seamlessly through the long, dramatic finish.  In the end, this shows some welcome transparency and elegance, and the finish sails on for a long time.  Drink now through 2018.

Wine Advocate - 94 points Raises the bar to an even higher level. It is a selection of the most complex and age-worthy barrels in the cellar according to James Frey. Although lighter in color than its siblings, it offers considerably more aromatic complexity with its aromas of pain grille, smoke, floral notes, Asian spices, incense, and amalgam of red and black fruits. Satin-textured, graceful, yet remarkably concentrated, its precision and balance should allow it to age for 6-8 years if not longer. It is one of the stars of a great vintage.

Four select barrels were chosen to create this unique expression of Pinot Noir; dark fruit, cigar box, and mushroom.

Wine Advocate - 92 points Slightly darker in color and a bit more terroir-driven with its earth notes and dark fruit flavors. Slightly more masculine and brawny, this dense effort will benefit from 4-5 years of cellaring and offer a drinking window extending from 2014 to 2026.

It has an excellent chance of seeing its 20th birthday in fine form.

Sports a complex aromatic array of sandalwood, mineral, underbrush, spice box, black cherry, and black raspberry. Firm, structured, and well-balanced on the palate, this succulent, lengthy effort will also evolve for several years and offer prime drinking from 2012 to 2022.

Cool aromas of cassis, black cherry, and mint with a hint of pie crust and barrel spice.  Full-bodied with a nice mid-palate weight, this wine showcases high-toned red fruits and chocolate undertones.  A silky, round finish.  50 cases produced.  Drink 2009 - 2017.

Winemaker's Notes:  aged 22 months in barrel, this special selection shows pretty notes of black cherry and cocoa.  Good balance, fine tannins, and a long smooth finish.  Drink 2010 to 2019.

Select barrels were combined to create this approachable and food friendly Pinot Noir.  This wine showcases pretty aromas of strawberry, rose, and violets layered with spice notes.  A velvety and round finish add to this Pinot’s drinkability at a young age.  Drink now - 2014.
