2021 Pashey Brut Rosé

2021 Pashey Brut Rosé
91 Points, International Wine Report

"The 2021 Pashey Sparkling Wine ‘Brut Rosé’ from the Willamette Valley showcases an alluring light orange hue in the bottle, thanks to its balanced blend of 33% Pinot Noir, 33% Chardonnay, and 33% Pinot Meunier. On the nose, aromas of yellow peaches, underripe apricot, and kumquats mingle with subtle notes of Naval orange essence and dusty herbs, offering a bright and complex bouquet. Initially, the mousse presents itself with a bit of vigor but softens beautifully after a few moments in the glass. This sparkling rosé brings a refreshing energy to the palate, with its fruit-driven profile and lively texture." - International Wine Report

Wine Profile
Production Notes
2021 Vintage Notes: It was a hot and dry year in the Willamette Valley with lower fruit set in the summer and a historic heat event in late June. By the time the month of September rolled around, the heat had dissipated and cooler overnight temperatures returned to the valley. For the better part of a month, we were blessed with a classic cool-climate harvest that allowed clusters to ripen at a slow pace, keeping their natural acids high while sugars slowly reached optimal picking levels. Even though lower yields resulted in less wine than normal, most vintners feel the high quality of the 2021 vintage will more than make up for it.
