2021 Ribbon Ridge Estate Chardonnay
93 Points - James Suckling
"A well-composed, balanced and precise chardonnay with aromas of ripe apples, baked pears, lemon rind and some sweet spices. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity. There is a fruity dimension at first with a mineral development toward the end." - James Suckling

Wine Profile
Production Notes
2021 Vintage Notes: It was a hot and dry year in the Willamette Valley with lower fruit set in the summer and a historic heat event in late June. By the time the month of September rolled around, the heat had dissipated and cooler overnight temperatures returned to the valley. For the better part of a month, we were blessed with a classic cool-climate harvest that allowed clusters to ripen at a slow pace, keeping their natural acids high while sugars slowly reached optimal picking levels. Even though lower yields resulted in less wine than normal, most vintners feel the high quality of the 2021 vintage will more than make up for it
